Model Alankrita Sahay, who won the Miss India title in 2014, is also active in acting. He made his debut in Bollywood in 2018 with the film “Love Par Square Foot”. After this he has worked in films like “Namaste England”, “Tipci”. Recently, Alankrita spoke about his new projects and career during a conversation with Dainik Bhaskar.
Beauty After winning the pageant, does the line of offers of films be lined up?
It’s not like that. If I had won Miss India, I had no intelligence to become an actress. I came to win with great luck and God Grace. Then I started modeling. Some songs, a lot of videos did commercials. Worked with around 300 brands. After that I did the film with Vicky Kaushal and Arjun Kapoor, unfortunately Kovid arrived. After that one of our directors died. Which was our film, ‘Dead Girl Dont Talk’, she could not be released despite being fulfilled.
Meanwhile, my father died. Then I was very broken. After that I took a break. Then when my film reached the Oscar, it was very lucky for me. After that I did a fantasy show with Jio. I have just completed the political drama series. So my journey is separated. The Eye Think is a separation of all the actors. So all Miss India or Miss Universe, Sushmita was Madam at a time, Priyanka Chopra, that era was different. The status given to Miss India then was different. He used to get special response.
Is there any competition from artists emerging from social media?
Today, there are not only our actors in competition. We get a competition of every type from Instagramors, Blogger, which actor-actresses are competing with each other. And then Manushi Chillar is Miss World. So when you win such title, the doors automatically open. I never feel bad that if any of my counter parts suddenly got a good management, which promotes them well.
It benefits a lot. Our Miss India is important that how is your team after winning? How people push you, how your management gives you work. So I did not understand these things before. Today’s girls are very smart. Well works, their team is so smart, they are taught to navigate. So when I started I had no idea of the industry.
What advice will the women who dream of entering the industry through modeling?
I would like to say this, I would also like to tell the Ivan Media that the lines of films do not appear as soon as Miss India is formed. When you become a part of a management team, that management team gives you the best and best project. Then you get work with brands. You definitely get your name, your fame, its title. You get a god gift from the universe. It is said that when you become something, your luck shines. The alone man never won further in the race. The whole team is behind you, which makes you. So I always say that there is no dream work without teamwork.
Like people come to films through the modeling world. So have you been a trend of acting since childhood?
No, I wanted to make an IAS in my childhood, but when I was in school, Doordarshan took me in one of my shows. After that I was active in Extra Curricular Activity in my school. He was the head girl of the school. I gave many performances in Annual Day, Sports Day, Nukkad Natak or events. Because of him my principal, teacher all pushed me. Later, Miss Noida became at the age of 13. So extra curricular activities were doing since childhood, while studying together.
But when I wanted to do my job in the middle, I felt that I should work in Mumbai, but the air here is so different that I pushed towards this industry. With the job, I pushed to Miss India. There were opportunities from there. So I did what I wanted to do for India, but in a very different way. Through a beauty passion, I won internationally for India.
Why is your film lineup less?
I do not lack work. I have just made a debut in South through a song. Yes, according to the media, we do not reach an ancient type of situation or we do not appear in the media every day, we do not have big films, then we are not working. For me the success rate does not depend on this. The success for me is that I have a good house. family happy. Bread is cloth, house, there are good opportunities, I am connected to good people and when I sleep peacefully at night, without any problem or without any issue, he matters the most. Yes, I am definitely behind a few years because I was broken after my father’s death, but I did not let my will power be reduced.
In which project are you working these days?
I have done two South projects. Now the campaign of Gok Colors has also been done. I am yet to release a political series, which has been directed by Shahnawaz Sir. Right now he has named the project as ‘husband and wife’ but he will change his name.
What kind of work would you like to do? Which genre do you like?
I would like to do everything. Every genre likes. I also do action very well. I would also like to play a coop on the screen. Girl Next Door Rolls are also to be done. I would also like to do such a role that do not belong to the Hot Preity Girl.
How did you face challenges until modeling to movies?
Most people think that in modeling or in films, casting couch would be with girls, but it is not so. However, I was getting work with a Punjabi producer who was becoming more oversmart, so I left the film. I said, I can leave the opportunity, but not my dignity and response. I work for no money. I only work for the name.
I have never had any problem in Bollywood till date. Once replacement has been done with a big actress. Till date, there has ever been no such problem that someone should harass me and I have to go to some level and teach him a lesson. Where I had to teach, I definitely responded to breaking my mouth.
