Wrestler Bajrang Punia placed his Padma Shri award on the footpath outside Prime Minister Narendra Modi's residence on Friday after Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh's aide Sanjay Singh was made the president of the wrestling federation. After Bajrang, now Virender Yadav has also announced to return the Padma Shri award. Virinder Singh Yadav was awarded the Padma Shri in 2021.
Wrestler Virender Yadav shared Shakhsi Malik's photo on social media and wrote that Prime Minister, I too will return the Padma Shri for my sister and daughter of the country. I am proud of my sister.
