Rupinder Singh (19), a young man of village Haruwal, who went to see the Jood Mela Chohla Sahib of Sri Guru Nanak Dev ji being celebrated at Dera Baba Nanak, was brutally murdered.
In this regard, Balbir Singh, the brother of the deceased youth Rupinder Singh, while talking to reporters at the Community Health Center Kalanur, said that he had gone to see the fair along with his brother. His brother Rupinder Singh was hacked to death due to an old grudge by the youth belonging to Dera Baba Nanak.
He admitted his brother to Kalanur Hospital where the doctors declared him brought dead. On hearing the news of this incident, police officer SHO of Dera Baba Nanak Dilpreet Kaur Bhangu also reached the spot. In this regard, he said that statements are being recorded on the family of the deceased.
