On the occasion of the 556th Prakash Purab of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji in Amritsar, Punjab, an intoxicated person arrived outside the Sri Harmandir Sahib complex. Shiromani Committee volunteers caught the person and threw him out. When the people and volunteers present at the scene asked him if he had consumed alcohol, he answered yes without hesitation.
The said person identified himself as a Gursikh and said that he hailed from Karnal, Haryana and was staying in Amritsar for the past three months. People say that the person started misbehaving under the influence of alcohol. The volunteers present at the spot quickly caught him and threw him out of the holy complex.
