Youth Akali Dal is holding a big demonstration in Chandigarh. In fact, following the demand of compensation to the flood victims of the state, Youth Akali Dal was trying to surround the residence of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, but they were stopped by the police on the way. Meanwhile, there was a scuffle between the protesters and the police. The police put up a barricade and stopped the Akali workers there.
Meanwhile, the protesters also accused the police of lathi charge. Due to this, the protestors have sat on the road. They have raised slogans against the Punjab government and started a sit-in.
They are not being allowed to go further by the police. The protestors are adamant about giving the demand letter to the Chief Minister. He said that either a batch of 25 members will go to the Chief Minister to give a demand or else a representative of the government should come here and take the demand letter.
