Ludhiana: A youth has died due to drug overdose in Chuharwal village under Meharban police station. Police station chief Davinder Singh said that the deceased youth has been identified as Kulwant Singh (31), son of Gurmail Singh, a resident of Chuharwal.
It is noteworthy that many people have died due to drug overdose in Chuharwal village. The young man who died today, along with his friends had bought heroin from village Talwandi Kalan and after returning from there, all three sat on a motorcycle near their village and started taking drugs. Meanwhile, Kulwant Singh injected the drug, after which he died. The deceased used to drive a tractor-trolley and has 2 small children. The police have handed over the body of the deceased to the heirs after conducting the post-mortem.
