Amritsar: Balwinder Gill, General Secretary of Punjab BJP SC Morcha (Balwinder Gill) has been shot. Two motorcycle-riding persons have fired at the residence of Jandiala Guru on Gill. Despite being taken to the hospital, senior police officials reached the spot.
It is being told that when Gill was at home, the doorbell rang. As soon as he opened the door, the assailants opened fire. A bullet reportedly entered his jaw. He was first admitted to a nearby hospital, where considering his critical condition, he was admitted to another private hospital in Amritsar.
After committing the incident, the accused escaped on a motorcycle. Hearing the sound of gunshots, family members and nearby people reached the spot. On getting the information about the incident, SP Jugraj Singh reached the spot. BJP leader Janardan Sharma has condemned this attack and claimed the collapse of law and order. The police are engaged in checking the footage of the CCTV cameras installed around the incident site.

According to news agency ANI, Dr. Randhir of KD Hospital has told that he was admitted to the hospital at around 10 o’clock last night after being shot. The bullet hit Gill on the chin. He suffered injuries to his face and fractured his lower leg. He is out of danger.
