Ludhiana police arrested two persons who demanded ransom

Two persons who claimed to be gangsters and demanded a ransom of 5 lakhs have been arrested in Ludhiana district of Punjab. The accused demanded money from Sunil, a resident of Chandigarh Road, from an international number. The miscreants threatened to shoot him if he did not pay. Sunil complained about this matter to the focal point police.

SHO Amandeep Singh Brar laid a trap to catch the miscreants. When Sunil talked to the miscreants, a deal was settled between the two for one and a half lakh rupees. Sunil called the miscreants near the Kendal canal to get money. As soon as the miscreants reached the said place, the police nabbed them. It is being told that both the accused are residents of Sahnewal. During the interrogation, the accused told that they had called from the number of their brother living in Malaysia.

Police Commissioner Mandeep Singh Sidhu said that he reached the spot as soon as he came to know about this action. Police have also recovered a fake pistol and dagger from the miscreants. Currently, the police have arrested both the miscreants. The police are interrogating the accused. According to the police, the other accused in this case will also be arrested soon.
