797 new cases of Corona have been reported in the country. This is the highest in 225 days. The Union Health Ministry said on Friday that the number of active cases of Corona has reached 4,091. According to the data updated by the ministry at 8 am on Friday, 5 people have died due to Corona in the last 24 hours.
Two people have died due to Corona in Kerala and one person each in Maharashtra, Puducherry and Tamil Nadu. On May 19, 865 new cases of Corona were registered in the country. As of December 5, the number of daily new cases of corona had come down to double digits but after the emergence of new variants and colder weather conditions, the number of cases has increased again.
The national recovery rate from Corona is 98.81 percent. So far 220.67 crore doses of anti-coronavirus vaccine have been administered in the country. So far 162 cases of corona sub-variant JN.1 have been reported in the country. Out of these maximum 83 cases have been reported in Kerala, followed by 34 cases in Gujarat.
So far nine states and union territories have detected the JN.1 subvariant. These include 83 cases in Kerala, 34 in Gujarat, 18 in Goa, eight in Karnataka, seven in Maharashtra, five in Rajasthan, four in Tamil Nadu, two in Telangana and one in Delhi.
