The father of the deceased, Gurbhaj Singh, said that his son died when the truck fell on him when he was returning home after being discharged from a private school.
5-year-old Harjot Singh was sent by his parents with food prepared in the morning. Every day he used to go to school by van. When the holiday was at 11 o’clock, Harjot was returning home as usual, his mother was waiting for him.
But the mother did not know that this wait for Harjot will not end for a lifetime. It was informed to the family members that when the van reached the village of Lohke, a truck was coming from the Tarn Taran side and took Harjot in its grip.
People present at the spot say that the accident was so terrible that the son died on the spot. When the body of the son reached home in white clothes, the heart of the family sank. The parents were in a very bad condition. They could not believe that son Harjot Singh has left this world, now he will never come back. The entire village is mourning the death of Harjot, everyone is trying to console the family.
The police have registered a case against the driver of the truck, an investigation is being carried out as to whose negligence the accident took place.
