Punjab Floods: The district administration has extended the holidays of 4 schools in the flood-affected area of ​​Shahkot, Jalandhar district of Punjab.

DC Special Sarangal has ordered the closure of primary schools Mundia Cholia, Mundia Shahriyan, Dhaka Basti, Mundi Kasu till July 26. He has said in his orders that vacations are currently being held in all four schools because the village has been flooded by flood water.

Houses, schools, roads, farms are all submerged in water. Life here has been badly affected. A decision has been taken to keep the schools closed keeping the safety of people’s life and property as the main priority.

Holidays were extended earlier too
Earlier, holidays were extended in 18 schools of Jalandhar’s sub-division Shahkot. After this, 15 schools have reopened but vacations are continuing in 3 schools of Lohian tehsil.

Deputy Commissioner Special Sarangal had earlier issued orders to keep primary schools Mundia Cholia, Mundia Shahriyan and Dhaka Basti closed till July 22. Now Mundi Kasu School has also been ordered to close and the holidays have been extended till July 26.
