The CIA staff of Faridkot have arrested two miscreants of the Bambiha gang after an encounter late on Monday evening near Bir Sikhwala village here. One of them has been shot in the leg, due to which he has been admitted to Guru Gobind Singh Medical College and Hospital. These two accused were wanted by the police in the case of aerial firing in Jaito’s Ramlila Ground a few days ago.
A few days ago, on the afternoon of July 6, three masked bikers escaped from Jaito’s Ramlila Maidan firing bullets in the air. Investigation revealed that a ransom of 5 lakhs was demanded from a businessman residing in Jaito.
But after demanding the ransom, the said person stopped picking up the accused’s phone, due to which they fired in the air with the purpose of intimidating the said person at Ramlila ground.
According to police sources, Inspector Harbans Singh, in-charge of the CIA staff, received information about the above-mentioned accused in the same case late on Monday evening. Late in the evening, a blockade was set up near Bir Sikkanwala to control them, then they opened fire on the police, in response to which two miscreants were arrested while one escaped from the spot.
