The accused have been identified as B Raja, 40, of Kurumbapalayam and Joshua Daniel, 25, of Keeranatham. He was working in a private gas distribution agency. The team took action on the basis of secret information

Based on a tip-off, a team consisting of Inspector Menaka, Sub-Inspector Arjun Kumar and Deputy Tehsildar Muthumanikkam searched the building. The team seized equipment used in gas transfer, 70 LPG domestic cylinders and 47 LPG commercial cylinders. The motorcycle used to shift the cylinder has also been seized. Subsequently, a case was registered under the Essential Commodities Act 1955 and the LPG (Regulation of Supply and Distribution) Order, 2000 and both were sent to judicial custody.
