President Zardari gave a speech from Rashtrapati Bhavan on Pakistan Day (23 March).
Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari’s speech on Pakistan Day is viral on social media. His tongue staggering several times during the speech. He called ‘trying’ as ‘Khushi is looking for happiness’. At the same time, he described ‘uncounted Kurbani’ as ‘Summer Kurbani’.
It is seen in the speech that Zardari was barely able to read each word. While reading the long sentence, he was seen breathing many times. Many people made fun of his speech on social media, so many have expressed concern over his health. Abdul Basit, who was the High Commissioner of Pakistan in India, described it as a mockery of every Pakistani.

Talking about the Lahore proposal and the constitution, Zardari got stuck by saying “23 March … our date …”, and could not read the further words properly.
Basit said- Zardari was ill, so why come to give speeches
While sharing the video, Abdul Basit said that the way President Zardari was helpless in reading speech, his heart has suffered a lot. The president is representative of the entire country. In such a situation, the joke of him is a joke of every Pakistani somewhere. Seeing the President of my country in this way hurts me.
Abdul Basit said, ‘We are clearly seeing that it was difficult to read every word from Zardari. It seemed that he was also having trouble standing. If they were ill then why were they brought to give a speech. Why were they not able to read Urdu speech too? ‘
Basit further said- ‘I think Zardari’s team had not already given him a copy of the speech. If he had already read the speech 2-3 times, he might not have had this problem. Well, whatever happened should not have been.

Pakistan Day was celebrated on 23 March in Pakistan. President Zardari was addressing both houses of Parliament on this occasion. Pakistan Day is celebrated on 23 March 1940 in memory of the Lahore proposal passed and on 23 March 1956 to adopt Pakistan’s first constitution.
Zardari’s entire speech has not been released publicly. The complete recording of this speech is not officially available on the government or the Avan-Sadra i.e. the website of the Radle Office. Typically, the entire text of the President’s speeches is released as press release or official statements, but this did not happen in the case.

Zardari fell while getting off the plane, since then health deteriorated
Zardari is now 69 years old. While traveling to Dubai, his foot slipped on the stairs while descending from a plane in October 2024. His leg was broken. After this he first appeared publicly.

According to experts, there may be a problem of fatigue or shortness of breath after injury in older people. At the same time, some users on social media have speculated that Zardari may suffer from stroke, Parkinson or any neurological problem. His vague voice and intermittent speaking is a symptom of this.
