The Punjab Police on Wednesday arrested YouTuber Jasbir Singh, with more than 1.1 million subscribers, for being part of the Pakistan -backed espionage network. This arrest is part of the comprehensive investigation in which the first influential woman Jyoti Malhotra of Haryana was arrested on similar allegations.
A YouTuber from Punjab, who was in close contact with Yutiyar Jyoti Malhotra of Haryana, has been arrested and police say a detective network associated with it has been detected. Punjab Director General of Police (DGP) Gaurav Yadav said on Wednesday that Jasbir Singh, who operates a YouTube channel named Jaan Mahal and resident of Mahan village in Rupnagar district, has been found to be related to a Pakistani intelligence agent (PIO). He said that Singh was also in close contact with Malhotra, who was earlier arrested by the Haryana Police on charges of espionage.
Part of terror-supported detective network
Yadav said in a post on ‘X’, “Jasbir Singh, a YouTube channel called” Jaan Mahal “, has been found with PIO Shakir alias Jatt Randhawa, which is part of the terror-supported espionage network. The DGP said that he also had contact with Ehsan-ur-Rahim alias Danish, an officer of Pakistan High Commission in Delhi, which was expelled by India. The top police officer said, “The investigation has revealed that Jasbir attended the ‘Pakistan National Day’ program in Delhi at Danish’s invitation, where he met Pakistani Army officials and Vologues.

Attempted to erase all the marks of your dialogue with PIO
He had gone to Pakistan three times (2020, 2021, 2024) and had several numbers of Pakistan in its electronic equipment, which is now being conducted detailed forensic investigation. Yadav said that after the arrest of Malhotra, Singh tried to erase all the marks of his dialogue with the PIO to avoid being caught.
Wide network of espionage
An FIR has been registered in the State Special Campaign Cell in Mohali. He said, he said that investigation is on to demolish the broad network of espionage-attitude and identify all those involved. 33 -year -old Malhotra, a resident of Hisar, operated a YouTube channel named Travel with JO. He was arrested last month. India had expelled Ehsan-ur-Rahim alias Danish posted at the Pakistan High Commission on 13 May due to alleged involvement in espionage.
