In Chamba city of Himachal Pradesh on Saturday afternoon, a young man attacked a girl with a sharp weapon. Police gave this information. He said that the local people caught the attacker and the injured girl was taken to Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, Chamba for treatment.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Mayank Sharma said that a case has been registered and the accused has been arrested. He said that a forensic team from Dharamshala collected samples from the spot near the forest guest house in Chamba.
Sharma told that the accused is a resident of Amritsar. He said that he is being interrogated and the motive behind the attack is being investigated. The girl suffered serious injuries on her neck in the attack.
A team of experts from the medical college immediately performed the surgery, which saved the girl’s life. Medical Superintendent Dr. Jalam Singh Bhardwaj said that the woman is currently out of danger and her condition is stable.
