Yamaha has informed that the company is planning to launch two electric scooters based on the concept of its E01 and E02 scooters in the European and Asian markets next year. There is no doubt that at present, Yamaha is growing at a very slow pace in the electric two-wheeler market. For example, if we look at the Indian electric two-wheeler market, till now all the big companies, such as Bajaj, TVS, Ola, Hero Electric have launched their own electric scooters. Many new startups are also making a splash in this market. Monthly sales figures released by all these companies also indicate that the demand for electric two-wheelers in India is gradually increasing.
At present, the company has not officially included India in the list of countries, but it remains to be seen whether the company moves towards it in future.
Yamaha has not released any information regarding the E01 and E02 since 2019. The specifications of both these scooters have also been kept behind the scenes.
