A recent investigation by media institutions revealed information related to the death of Ukrainian journalist Victoria Roshchina. Roshchina was caught by the Russian Army in 2023 when she was reporting illegal custody and torture of Ukrainian citizens in the Jhaporizia occupied area.
According to Yuri Belusov, head of the War Crime Unit of Ukraine’s Prosecutor General Office, the forensic investigation of his corpse has indicated serious physical torture and inhuman behavior. The report states that 27 years of scratches and inner blood clots were found on many parts of Roshchina’s body, one of his ribs was broken, there were deep injuries on the neck, and potentially electric shock marks were also found on the legs.
Belusov also reported that Victoria Roshchina’s body was found on the body, showing that his body was postmortem on Ukraine before he was returned and some of his limbs were missing. He said that these missing organs indicate that Russia has tried to hide the real causes of his death.
