An Indian -origin father and his daughter lost their lives in shooting at a store in the US state of Virginia. The accident took place on 20 March at the Store on Lankford Highway in Ekomac County. Pradeepkumar Patel (56) and his 24 -year -old daughter were working in this store at the time of the accident. It has been told by the Sheriff Office of Ekomac County that the motive behind this murder is not yet clear.

Indian -origin Sarita Ramraju (48) has been accused of killing his 11 -year -old son Yatin Ramraju in the US. After spending three days in Disneyland with a son in Santa Ana, California, he strangled her in Motal’s room on 19 March.

After the murder, he called 911 and informed about suicide attempt. Police found a large kitchen knife from the spot, which was bought a day before the murder. There was a dispute between Sarita and her ex -husband Prakash Raju over the son’s custody.

After divorce in 2018, the son’s custody was found to father, while Sarita had the right to meet. According to reports, Sarita wanted the son to stay with her in Virginia, but the court did not do so. According to the Orange County District Attorney, if all the allegations against Sarita are proved, she can be sentenced to life imprisonment from 26 to life imprisonment.

Afghanistan claims- US removed a $ 10 million reward from Taliban Leader Haqqani

Afghanistan’s Home Ministry has claimed that the US has removed a $ 10 million reward from Taliban leader and Home Minister Sirajuddin Haqqani. However, no information has been given by the US State Ministry so far.

The US had declared a $ 10 million reward for giving information related to his arrest in 2010. The name of Haqqani is currently included in the list of Wanted on the American investigative agency FBI’s website.

Sirajuddin Haqqani is the head of Afghanistan and Pakistan’s infamous Haqqani network, which was declared by the US in 2012. Haqqani is considered the mastermind of an attack on a hotel in Kabul in 2008, killing many people.

After the Taliban returned to power in 2021, Haqqani was made the acting internal minister of Afghanistan.

UNICEF appealed to lift the ban on girls’ education, said- future is in danger

The United Nations Children’s Agency UNICEF has appealed to the Taliban in Afghanistan to remove the ban on girls’ education. The agency said on Saturday that millions of girls are deprived of education after the Taliban returns to power in 2021.

According to UNICEF, due to the ban, 4 lakh girls could not go to school this year. Due to this, the number of girls deprived of education has increased to 22 lakhs. There is a ban on girls’ secondary and higher education in Afghanistan.

According to Catherine Russell, Executive Director of UNICEF, due to this ban, there will be a huge decline in the number of women doctors and midwives, due to which millions of women will not get necessary health services. They estimate that this can kill 1,600 mothers and 3,500 newborns.
