Tahwwur Rana, convicted of the Mumbai attack (26/11), has filed an appeal in the US Supreme Court against extradition.
The date of 4 April 2025 has been fixed for hearing Rana’s petition. He has re -filed an appeal to stop extradition. Earlier, her reconsideration petition was dismissed by Justice Elena Kegan.
Rana claimed that his life was in danger when India is extradited, as he is a Muslim of Pakistani origin and may have to face harassment due to allegations related to the Mumbai attacks. At the same time, he cited his deteriorating health and said that he would not be able to survive till the trial.
