An accident occurred near the police station on Ring Road.
In Bathinda, a high speed car hit a scooty, killing the woman riding a scooty. While her husband and two children were seriously injured. The accident took place near the police station Cantt on Ring Road. The deceased has been identified as Mandeep Kaur (50), a resident of Sushant City,

The injured include her husband Sukhmandar Singh (52), 5 -year -old daughter Ashmeet Kaur and 1 -year -old son Jaideep. As soon as the incident was reported, the young Welfare Society, Valunteer of Bathinda, reached the spot with an ambulance. With the help of passers -by, all the injured were immediately rushed to the civil hospital. Mandeep Kaur was declared dead after investigation in the hospital.
The 5 -year -old girl Ashmeet Kaur continues to be treated.
Police station in -charge Daljit Singh said that the police team is looking for the accused. Footage of nearby CCTV cameras is being investigated. He assured that soon the accused would be arrested.
