Delhi -based Sri Sharda Indian Management Research Institute (SIIMR), where Swami Chaitananand Saraswati, who was accused of molestation, was employed as Director, a former student has revealed how he used to target and woo the students.

A woman who filed a case of molestation in 2016 against Swayambhu Baba Chaitanyanand Saraswati has said that her “vulture -like eyes” were on her. He also alleged that 62-year-old Chaitanyanand Saraswati alias Swami Parthasarathy, who is accused of sexually assaulting 17 girl students at his private management institute in Vasant Kunj in South-West Delhi, sent her pornographic messages and called her “baby” and “sweet girl”. According to the FIR lodged by her, at that time the 20 -year -old woman said that she had left her studies from Shri Sharda Indian Institute of Management in only eight months.

He said, “This was the most difficult period of my life. As soon as I enrolled in the institute, Baba started sending me porn messages. He used to call me” baby “and” sweet girl “. After the classrooms ended at 6:30 pm, he used to call me and bother me.” He said that Chaitanyanand used to say that he is “very talented” and he will take him to Dubai for studies and will bear all his expenses. The student, who was expelled from the institute located in the city’s posh Vasant Kunj area, said in this shocking revelation, “He promised to give them free abroad, iPhone, driver cars and laptops.”

Talking to India Today, the alumni said that the process of lying to the girl students started at the time of entry. He said, “As soon as new students took admission in college, the selection process would start immediately. First the targeted students were identified, then contacted and they were lured by better services, such as more marks, internships and good placements in abroad. Everything would have been easy for those students who accepted this proposal, but those who refused, their lives would have worsened.” These students are forced to wake up overnight, it is not allowed to talk to anyone, they were monitored round the clock, and some were disturbed and expelled from college. He revealed that this harassment would also be spread to his parents.

When asked how the target students would be selected, he told India Today that the process was conducted by Chaitanyanand Saraswati himself, who was previously known as Swami Parthasarathi.

The former student said, “Swami used to talk face to face with the students, after which he was identified. He used to run separate classes for girls and boys. He used to choose women students. There were some female employees who contacted the targeted students and asked the accused to meet the accused in his office or room.”

Another shocking revelation is that some of these women employees were former students, who were targeted by Chaitanyanand Saraswati and who had compromised. She said, “Some of the current female employees were former students, which Swami had offered all this. She was taken on foreign trips and provided an internship abroad. And today, they are employees. These are the same female employees who forced women students to follow Swami’s requests.”

When asked about a student complaining to the police of a 2016 harassment case associated with Chaitanyanand Saraswati, the former student said that she was her junior and Swami had also approached her in the same way. He claimed, “He was asked to compromise and in turn, he was taken on free foreign trips, laptops and iPhones were given as a gift and a driver carried him wherever he wants. He also offered him better training for placement and unlimited shopping trips for placements abroad.” In her complaint, the student said that when she was 20-21 years old, Chaitanyanand Saraswati used to call her at night, make pornographic comments and address her as “baby” and “cute girl”. He allegedly snatched his phone and isolated him in the hostel, scolding him to talk to other students. He was pressurized to accompany him on a two -day visit to Mathura. In fear, she ran away without his bag and document, but even after running away, Chaitanyanand Saraswati’s colleagues reached her house, allowing her father to intervene to save her. Eventually, he was abandoned and thrown out.

 

The alumni further stated that the institute used to ask for the original document from every student at the time of admission and kept them with him. He further said, “Swami used to keep all the original documents of every student with him. This was done so that if someone speaks against him or disclose his misdeeds, then there was an atmosphere of fear. We were afraid that he could misuse the documents or never return them.” The alumni said that till now his documents are with the institute. They were not returned when he was taken out. He also said that Swami’s eyes used to stay at the institute all the time. The entire campus has at least 170 CCTV cameras, each of which has two cameras each. Apart from the rooms, there were also cameras everywhere in the hostel. He told India Today, “Chaitanyanand Saraswati had access to all these CCTVs.”

 

The alumni said, “Everything about Swami is fake. His M.Phil degree is fake, and many of his pictures with politicians in the institute are also fake. He has a printing press where he makes these pictures.” Regarding the fake United Nations number plates seized by the police, he said that Chaitananand Saraswati used to tell everyone that he was a member of the United Nations and an embassy had given him this number plate without telling them. He concluded, “Every allegation against Chaitanyanand Saraswati is true. Students and their families have suffered losses because of them.”
