The victim Gurvinder Kaur was married to Sulkhan Singh of village Dhaliwal Bet about 8 years ago. At the wedding, his parents gave dowry according to their status. But after marriage, the in -laws started harassing her for demanding dowry.

Sonamdeep Kaur, SHO of Thana Fattu Loose, said that all the allegations have been found to be true in the investigation. The police have registered a case against husband Sulkhan Singh, Jeth Manpreet Singh, father -in -law Dalbir Singh and mother -in -law Harbans Kaur. At present, no one has been arrested.
