The Ministry of Defense said that a team of Indian Army has left for Fort Wornerut, Alaska, America to participate in the 21st edition of Indo-US joint military exercise war exercise 2025 to be held from 1 to 14 September 2025. This Indian team, with personnel of a battalion of the Madras Regiment, will train with soldiers of the 5th Infantry Regiment “Bobcats”, the first battalion of the America’s 11th Airborne Division, the Arctic Volvs Brigade Combat team of the US. According to the Ministry of Defense, for two weeks, military helicopter operations, monitoring resources and unmanned aerial systems, rock crafts, mountain wars, removal of casualties, will rehearsed a series of strategic practices, including integrated use of war medical assistance and artillery, aviation and electronic war systems.

In addition, the subject matter experts of both armies will conduct work groups on important areas such as UAS and counter-UAS operations, information war, communication and logistics. The Ministry of Defense said that the exercise would end up jointly with employed and executed strategic maneuvers, which would include live-firm exercises to high-up high war landscapes, focusing on improving capabilities for United Nations peace campaigns and strengthening preparations for multi-regional challenges. The exercise took place under the Tiger Triumph 2025 from 2 to 4 April in the Duvwada Firing Range a few months after an intensive joint training phase organized by the forces of the two countries, a significant performance of Indo-US military cooperation. The exercise confirmed the growing coordination between the two armies, intermediate in war and humanitarian aid scenarios, strategic coordination and increasing operational preparations.

The release stated that the training began with a joint opening speech of the commanding officers of the two troops, which created an atmosphere of a collaborative and high-influential connection. This was followed by the Commanding Officer of the 8 Gorkha Rifles Infantry Battalion Group, representing the amphibian brigade of the Bison Division under the Sudarshan Chakra Corps. The US Army contingent, including the first battalion, the 5th Infantry Regiment (“Bobcats”) and the first striker Brigade Combat Team, the 11th Infantry Division (“Arctic Volves”), received information about the training methods of the Indian Army and the objectives of this joint practice.
