Former Pakistan Foreign Minister and PPP Chief Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has lied white in an interview to Al Jazira. When senior journalist Srinivasan Jain asked Bilawal why Masood Azhar, the head of Jaish-e-Mohammed, who was declared a terrorist by the UN, was not catching Pakistan, he said that he was not hiding in Pakistan. He can be in Afghanistan. At the same time, when asked why the terrorist Hafiz Saeed is walking free in Pakistan, Bilawal said, it is factually wrong. Saeed is in custody. He said that India gives evidence that if Masood is in Azhar Pak, he can be arrested. He said, suspicion has taken action against more than 90 terrorist organizations so far.

Pakistan said that if India gives evidence, it is ready to cooperate. When asked why Pakistan would wait for India’s intelligence information, Bhutto explained that when you cooperate with a country anti -terrorism, both sides share groups of concern. Similarly, we have worked together to stop the attacks within London, New York and even Pakistan. Bhutto defended Pakistan’s borders, especially in relation to cross -border operations in Afghanistan. If he is in Afghanistan, the West has now handed over the country to a group which he ever called a terrorist and now calls the government. NATO cannot detect everyone – how can it be expected from Pakistan that he will succeed where NATO failed?

India’s Operation Sindoor
Bhutto’s comment has come under the backdrop of increasing tension after the terrorist attack on 22 April in Pahalgam. India responded to a series of air strikes from across the border under Operation Sindoor, targeting major terrorist bases including Lashkar-e-Taiba’s base in Muridke and Jaish-e-Mohammed headquarters in Bahawalpur. Masood Azhar later claimed that ten members of his family and four close colleagues were killed in the Indian attacks.
