Chief Justice (CJI) of India BR Gawai said on Saturday that whenever the country has faced a crisis, it has been united and strong and the credit should be given to the Constitution. CJI Gavai was addressing a function after the inauguration of advocates rooms and a multi-level parking in the Allahabad High Court here. He said, “When the constitution was being formed and its final draft was presented before the Constituent Assembly, at that time some people used to say that the constitution is very federal, while some used to say that it is very unique.

He said that due to the constitution, India is on the path of development after independence. Today we are seeing what is the condition of our neighboring countries. And India is moving towards development after independence. Whenever there is a crisis on the country, the country has been united and strong. The credit should be given to the Constitution.
The CJI said that it is our fundamental duty to reach the last citizen of the country, which needs justice. Whether it is a legislature, executive or judiciary, all will have to reach that citizen.
