Farmers Kesar Singh, Karnail Singh, Baghel Singh and Kuldeep Singh said that the crop prepared for harvesting was caused by hailstorm. Hundreds of acres of crop have been damaged. The farmers have demanded compensation from the Punjab government immediately by getting Girdawari.

Congress’s Sardulgarh Incharge Vikram Singh Mofar has also demanded compensation to farmers soon. MLA Gurpreet Singh said that the Deputy Commissioner has ordered the Tehsildar and Patwari for Girdawari. He assured that the government would soon compensate the farmers for the loss.
