The wheat crop caught fire in the jagaras of Punjab, which burnt about 10 acres of crop to ashes. The incident is from the reform village to the fields located on the banks of Boparaye Kalan Link Road. Two farmers have suffered heavy losses in the fire. Pradeep Singh’s five acres of ready wheat crop was burnt.

Local farmers immediately started rescue work. He poured soil on the crop by plowing and groups with half a dozen tractors. This prevented the fire from moving forward. Fire brigade vehicles from Mullanpur also controlled the fire. The remaining burnt fire was extinguished by the farmers.
The affected farmer Pradeep Singh received information about the fire from the village’s WhatsApp group. By the time he reached the spot, his entire crop was burnt. He believes that a straw-rash machine in a nearby field caught fire due to a spark. To make up for the loss, Pradeep Singh has demanded proper compensation from the Punjab government.
