On June 12, the Air India aircraft, going to London, crashed in a hostel complex in Meghaninagar area, shortly after flying from Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport in Ahmedabad, in which 241 people aboard the aircraft were killed and several other land. A passenger miraculously survived.
The team investigating the Ahmedabad Air India aircraft accident has submitted its preliminary report to the Ministry of Civil Aviation. It is not yet known what conclusion the investigators of the aircraft accident investigation have reached the accident, resulting in 260 people. According to the Ministry of Civil Aviation, the Crash Protection Module (CPM) was safely recovered from the front black box, and on 25 June 2025, the memory module was successfully accessed and its data was downloaded to the AAIB lab. Sources told ANI that a duplicate black box- known as “Golden Chassis” was used to verify the successful recovery of data. One black box was found on the roof of a building at the accident site on 13 June and the other was recovered from the debris on 16 June.

The inqu The investigation is being monitored by the Director General of Aaib. The investigation team also consists of an aviation medical expert and an air traffic control officer. Sources have confirmed that NTSB’s team is currently in Delhi and is working closely with Indian officials in Aaib Lab. Representatives of Boeing and GE are also in the capital to support technical analysis.
