External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, presiding over the fourth India-Central Asia Dialogue in Delhi, confirmed India’s commitment to deepen his strategic partnership with Central Asian countries, paying special attention to connectivity, security and technical cooperation. The session was attended by top diplomats from Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, which reflects the increasing determination to deal with shared regional challenges and opportunities.

After the meeting, Jaishankar posted on X and said that this morning was pleased to preside over the fourth India-Central Asia Dialogue in Delhi. Thanks to his Central Asian colleagues Deputy Prime Minister and External Affairs Minister Murat Nurtleu, Deputy Speaker and External Affairs Minister Rashid Mere Dov, External Affairs Minister Jhinbake Kulubaev, External Affairs Minister Sirojidin Muhariddin and External Affairs Minister Bakhtiar Saidov for his assessment and views. Compassed India for the Central Asian partners who condemned the heinous terrorist attack in Pahalgam. There was a productive and widespread discussion on the subjects of contact, regional security and terrorism, technology cooperation, development partnership and exchange. I am confident that today our deliberations will make the Indo-Central Asia partnership more close and deeper.

In his initial speech at the talks, Jaishankar thanked the Central Asian countries for showing solidarity after the terrorist attack on April 22 in Pahalgam. He said that I appreciate that your country stood with India and condemned the heinous terrorist attack in Pahalgam in April. The minister emphasized that this unity reflects the depth of mutual trust between India and its regional partners.
