Bollywood actor Govinda has recently publicly apologized for the derogatory comments made by his wife Sunita Ahuja on their family priest Pandit Mukesh Shukla during a podcast. Govinda has stressed that he does not support those statements of his wife and he has great respect for Pandit Mukesh and his family in his life.
Actor refutes comments made on Pandit
In a video statement, Govinda said, ‘My wife made derogatory comments against Pandit Mukesh Shukla on the podcast and I condemn them. I sincerely apologize… Pandit Mukesh Shukla and his family have stood by me in difficult times, and I respect them very much.
This whole matter came to light when, during a conversation on Paras Chhabra’s YouTube channel, Sunita Ahuja, while giving her opinion on Pandits and worship, said, ‘There is one in our house too, Govinda’s Pandit. He is also like this, gets the puja done, gives Rs 2 lakh. I tell them that they should do the puja themselves, the puja done by them is of no use. God will accept your own prayers. I don’t believe in all this. Even if I donate or do any good work, I do it with my own hands for my karma.

Sunita’s comment on Govinda’s career and team
In the same podcast, Sunita also made many sharp comments about her husband Govinda’s current career and professional circle. He said that Govinda should focus on his health and weight, ‘Now Chichi has to lose weight and look good. His skin has deteriorated. She should take care of herself, this is my wish.
On Govinda’s professional team, Sunita said, ‘The problem is that he does not get a good team. The circle in which he sits, there are idiot writers who are less writers and more idiots. They fool him and give very bad advice. He doesn’t find good people.
She claimed that they don’t like her (Sunita) because she speaks the truth, and Govinda believes whatever she says against her (Sunita). He advised critics to ‘say it to my face, not to him.’
Sunita also talked about her charity plans. She said that she wants to build an old-age home and shelter for animals. She clarified that she will do this work with her own money and will not take support from Govinda, who according to her only gives money to his cronies.
