West Bengal: Nine people died in SUV and truck collision, accident occurred on NH-18 in Purulia district

Nine people died in a gruesome road accident on Friday in Purulia district of West Bengal. The accident took place on National Highway 18 near Namshol in Balrampur police station area, when the victims were returning from a wedding ceremony. In Namasol, Bolero collided face to face with a high speed truck. The victim was boarding a Bolero vehicle going from Adbana village of Barabazar police station area of ​​Purulia going to Tilitand in Neemdih police station area of ​​Jharkhand.

A police official said that the accident occurred on National Highway-18 in Namasol village within the boundary of Balrampur police station in the district at around 6.30 am. Saumydeep Malik, in-charge of Balrampur police station, said, “A face-to-face collision between an SUV and a truck on the highway, in which all nine people in a four-wheeler died.” The police is investigating the case.
