Fresh snowfall in higher reaches of Himachal, 196 roads closed

Himachal Pradesh received fresh snowfall in the higher reaches of Kullu, Lahaul and Spiti, Kinnaur and Shimla districts in the last 24 hours, while light rain occurred in the central and lower parts of the state. According to the Meteorological Department, Kothi received 20 cm of snow, Kalpa 17.5 cm, Gondla 13.5 cm, Keylong, Kukumseri and Khadrala five cm each, Manali two cm, as well as Kufri, a suburb of state capital Shimla. It snowed. Due to snowfall, traffic has stopped on a total of 196 roads including three national highways.

The maximum temperature in Delhi was recorded at 27.7 degree Celsius.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) said that the minimum temperature was recorded at 14 degrees Celsius, four notches above normal. The Meteorological Department has predicted strong winds on Sunday. The maximum and minimum temperature in the national capital is expected to be 24 degree Celsius and 11 degree Celsius respectively.
