Political tension has increased after violent protests in Parliament House on 8 September in Nepal, resulting in the building to set fire. This unrest took place amid protests against the government over alleged corruption. After the resignation of the Nepali Prime Minister, the political upheaval increased further, causing leadership void in a significant time. There is tension on the roads of the capital and the army is deployed to maintain the system.

Talking about the situation, Govind, a local resident, said that we are here for the ongoing cleaning campaign on the streets of Kathmandu city, where protests took place yesterday and the day after tomorrow. I cannot say who will be the next Prime Minister of Nepal, but we want a person who does good for the country. The situation is not good right now. The army has taken over the roads. In the opinion of the people, Balen Shah is a candidate who is more likely to become Prime Minister of Nepal. The protests mentioned by Govind are mainly run by Jane-Zi workers and reflect the growing disappointment of the people towards governance and corruption.

Prior to the expected meeting between these protesters and President Ram Chandra Paudel, one of them said that recent violence could be reduced, but their demand for new rules and strict rules against corruption should still be noted.
