The temperature has started increasing in most states of the country. Due to rising temperature, water is decreasing rapidly in the reservoirs, but the good thing is that 161 major reservoirs of the country still have 42% water. However, it has also decreased by 3% in a week.
The total collection capacity of these reservoirs is 257.812 billion cubic meters (BCM). Currently, 182.852 billion cubic meters (BCM) of these are water.
Last year, the water level was 70.74% during this period and at an average of 10 years it was 77.32% higher. The total storage has been recorded at 116% this year, which is 115% higher than in 2024.
Only two reservoirs filled with full, less than 40% of 60%
- There are 60 of 161 reservoirs, which have less than 40% water.
- There are 34 of these, which contains less than 29% water.
- There are 91 reservoirs that have less than 40% water left.
- Only 26 reservoirs have enough water.
- There are only two reservoirs that are completely filled.
Water is less than 7% to 8% than last year There has been a decrease in water level in many parts of the country. The water level of the reservoirs has been reduced by 7% to 8% as compared to the previous year. 26 reservoirs have sufficient water level. The reservoirs have 18% less water this year than last year.
