PTC News Desk: Waris Punjab De chief Amritpal Singh’s uncle and driver have surrendered before police in Jalandhar on late Sunday night. Whereas, massive search operation to arrest Amritpal Singh still continues for the third day across the state.

According to police sources, Amritpal Singh’s driver Harpreet and uncle Harijeet Singh have surrendered before police in Mehatpur on Sunday late night. The search operation continues for the third day.

In the meantime, on Sunday Punjab Police made 34 more arrests, and a total of 112 associates of the Khalistani leader have been arrested so far. Police conducted a flag march and massive searches across the state and section 144 of the CrPc, which prohibits congregations, imposed in the union territory of Chandigarh. There are prohibitory orders given in some parts of the state.

The Punjab government has extended to suspend mobile internet and SMS services till Monday noon. Amritpal Singh has been on the run since the Punjab Police launched a massive crackdown on Saturday. This came after weeks, his supporters entered Ajnala police station near Amritsar, extracting an assurance that an arrested man would be released.
