Rijiju said the hope portal will add a new chapter to the history of Waqf property management and administration in India. After launching the hope portal, Kiren Rijiju said that this will not only bring transparency but will also help common Muslims, especially women and children. The portal developed by the Ministry of Minority Affairs was officially inaugurated in the presence of Union Minister of State for Minority Affairs George Kurien. Describing it as a historic step, Rijiju insisted that the hope portal is just more than a technological upgradation.

He said that it is a symbol of the government’s firm commitment to protect the rights of minority communities and to ensure effective and impartial to the community -owned Waqf properties, for which it was originally created. The Unified Waqf Management, Empowerment, Efficiency and Development Act, a brief name of 1995, Asha Central Portal, will serve as a centralized digital platform for real -time uploading, verification and monitoring of Waqf properties. This portal is expected to bring extensive changes in the administration of Waqf properties across India, which will bring more transparency, accountability and public participation.
