Former Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on Thursday accused the Election Commission of losing public confidence and in favor of BJP. Gehlot wrote on ‘X’ that it is very unfortunate that earlier the credibility of the Election Commission of India used to be so strong that other countries used to take training from the Election Commission of India to hold elections here, but today the people of India are looking at it with suspicion.

He said that undemocratic acts of the Bharatiya Janata Party have also destroyed the most important institutions in India. Gehlot was reacting to the allegations leveled by Leader of Opposition and senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi in the Lok Sabha. Gandhi on Thursday claimed that the Commission was helping the BJP in votes theft. Gehlot said that the Election Commission has lost public confidence and is working in favor of BJP.
Rahul Gandhi will rally in Bengaluru against “Vote Theft”
Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi will address the ‘Vote Rights Rally’ here on Friday on the issue of alleged rigging in the voter list. Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivkumar, Karnataka in -charge of Congress Randeep Surjewala, state government ministers, MPs, MLAs and many other leaders will also participate in this rally held at Freedom Park in Bangalore. A day before this meeting, former Congress President Rahul Gandhi had put forward the figures of Mahadevpura assembly constituency of Bangalore, alleging that the model of “vote theft” has been implemented to benefit the Bharatiya Janata Party by manipulating the voter list.

He claimed that all this is happening in connivance with the BJP and the Election Commission and it is a crime against the Constitution. He presented the data of voter list of Mahadevpura assembly constituency before reporters in Delhi on Thursday. Rahul Gandhi had said that 1,00,250 votes were stolen in Mahadevpura assembly constituency of Bangalore Central Lok Sabha seat, while the BJP won this seat by a margin of 32,707 votes in the last Lok Sabha election.
