The roads connecting the streets of the village to the major cities of the state from the streets of the village in Bihar are setting new paths of development. Under the Bihar Gramin Path Maintaining Policy-2018, a total of 16,171 roads in the rural areas of the state, which is 40,259.355 km, was set for repair and maintenance target. So far, a total of 15,169 roads, which is 36,894.565 km, has been rejuvenated.

These roads are providing these roads to the people of the village to reach markets, hospitals, schools, colleges and employment. Under this scheme, administrative approval has been given for the repair of a total of 16,171 roads. The total length of which is 40,259 kilometers. For the maintenance and rejuvenation of these roads, more than 20 thousand crore rupees are being spent by the Bihar government. Of these, the repair work of 15,169 rural roads has been completed, whose total length has been stated to be 36,894 km. Under the guidelines of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, the purpose of Bihar Gramin Path Maintaining Policy-2018 is not only to construct rural roads, but also keep them well for a long time.
People will be able to use these roads in every season
Under this program, regular maintenance of rural roads and bridges of the state is being done so that people of the village can travel easy through these roads throughout the year. These rural roads are providing new and new markets to the farmers’ crops. Sometimes children crossing the river and going to school are now easily traveling to their school by bicycle. Not only this, now the villagers do not have to reach the hospitals through the raw paths lying on the bed. In the event of floods or any other natural disaster, it has become easier to provide relief to the people through these rural roads. Due to changing the face of rural roads in the state, the standard of living of people in rural areas of Bihar has also improved continuously.

Rural roads have changed the most in East Champaran
Eastern Champaran district of the state is at the forefront in the case of maintenance of roads. The repair work of 909 roads in a total of 957 roads selected here has been completed. The total length of which is 2,389.245 km. This is followed by Muzaffarpur district at number two. The repair work of 664 roads in a total of 718 roads in Muzaffarpur district has been completed. A target of repairing a total of 1861.527 km rural roads in Muzaffarpur was set. Against which the repair work of 1703.797 km of road has been completed. West Champaran district is third in terms of rejuvenation of rural roads. A target was to taste a total of 617 rural roads here. The total length of which is 2091.32 km. 598 roads have been rejuvenated against this goal. The total length of which is 1996.312 km. Apart from this, there are 1,589.385 km in Saran, 1,405.385 km in Samastipur, 1,382.063 km in Gayaji and Vaishali 1,359.22 km.
