Actor Vijay Devarakonda was registered by the Telangana police on charges of promoting betting app. Now the actor’s team has reacted to the FIR. A press release on behalf of the team has claimed that the actor only endorses the legal online game and not of illegal betting.
Vijay’s team claims that he was the brand ambassador of the company for some time and only supports the legal game. The press release said- ‘Public and all parties associated with it are told that Mr. Vijay Devarakonda officially contracts for a limited time as the brand ambassador of the company. His endorsement was limited only to regions and regions where online skill based games are legally allowed.
It was also said in the press release that it is necessary to clarify that the Honorable Supreme Court of the country has described the online game like Skill based sports, in which the online game has repeatedly gambling or gaming. The court has admitted that such sports require skills instead of chances, so they are legally acceptable.
Let us know that 32 -year -old businessman Phanindra Sarma had filed a complaint about the betting app in Miyapur, Sibrabad, Telangana. The complainant accused 25 celebrities and influencer of promoting the batting apps and misleading the public.
