This complaint has been lodged by Naiwath Ashok Kumar Naik, also known as Ashok Rathore. Rathore is the state president of the Joint Action Committee of tribal communities. He alleged that during the pre-relief event of the film ‘Retro’ (in which actor Surya is in the lead role), Vijay Devarakonda made statements that hurt the sentiments of the tribal communities and insulted them. Rathore further claimed that comparing the tribal people to Pakistani terrorists was racially insensitive.

What did Vijay Devarakonda say?
During the pre-relief event of Surya’s film retro, Vijay addressed the Pahalgam terror attack, saying, “The solution of what is happening in Kashmir is to educate him (terrorists) and to ensure that he does not have a brainwash.” What will they get? Kashmir belongs to India and Kashmiri belongs to us. India does not even need to attack Pakistan because the Pakistanis themselves are fed up with their government and if they continue, they will attack them.
