Navjot Kaur, a student of Sant Mohan Das Memorial Senior Secondary School in village Kotsukhia of Faridkot, declared 100 percent marks in the state and first place in District Faridkot in the state’s 8th grade results declared by Punjab School Education Board on Friday.

Karnjit Singh, the father of Navjot Kaur, originally from village Demru Kalan in Moga district, is a driver by profession and runs his daughter’s school van, while his mother Virpal Kaur is a domestic woman.

Navjot Kaur said that she wants to illuminate her family’s name by getting higher education and the school teachers, parents and her elder sister have contributed significantly behind this attainment.
