Vyjayanti Mala was born on 13 August 1933 in Tripleken, Chennai. Her mother was a well-known actress of Tamil cinema. In such a situation, she too started learning Bharatnatyam since childhood. At the age of 13, Vyjayanti Mala started performing on the stage. Soon he got a chance to work in films.
Film career
The actress started her film career in the year 1949 with the Tamil film ‘Wajakai’. After doing some films in South India, the actress made her debut in Hindi cinema through Hindi film ‘Bahar’. With her first film, the actress was engulfed in Bollywood. Later, Vyjayanti Mala gave hits like ‘Madhumati’, ‘Girl’, ‘Devdas’, ‘Sangam’, ‘Naagin’ and ‘Naya Daur’.
