Harjit Singh Dhadda, who runs a trucking safety and compliance business in the city of Mississaga, Canada, was shot dead in the afternoon on May 14, 2025. The incident occurred near Tranmere Drive and Telford Way near Dixon and Dairy Road.

Basically, Harjit Singh Dhadda, a resident of Bajpur in the Indian state of Uttarakhand, was receiving threatening calls and messages from unknown persons for some time. In these threats, money was being sought from them and warned of serious consequences for not giving money.
The Peel Regional Police has recently formed a special task force to forcibly recovery and investigate violent incidents by targeting South Asian businesses.

More than 29 cases came up

The police have so far arrested 21 people and have made more than 150 allegations against them. Many of these accused are expected to have a connection with organized crime groups in India.
