A retired junior engineer in Bijnor district of Uttar Pradesh was arrested from his licensed revolver for shooting a dog’s dog. A police officer gave this information on Saturday.
Najibabad jurisdictional Nitesh Pratap Singh said that retired junior engineer Rajveer Singh, resident of Savitri Enclave, shot a dog walking in the colony with his license revolver on Friday evening. He said that the dog died after being shot.
According to the police, the accused was arrested and his revolver was seized. Meanwhile, Anuradha Mathur and Jyoti Sharma, members of ‘Animal Friends Club’, demanded the cancellation of the arms license of the accused and said that in the CCTV footage, the accused is seen waving revolvers in hand and shooting the dog.
According to the accused’s neighbor Dr. LS Bisht and Rajkumar Kalra, the dog used to sit outside the accused’s house. Neighbors also reported that the accused chased the dog and allegedly shot him five bullets.
