A farmer and a 15-year-old boy reportedly died of electric shock in two separate incidents in Uttar Pradesh’s Amethi and Deoria districts. Police gave this information on Sunday.
According to the police, Khushiyal (61) had gone to work in the fields in Sangipur village of Amethi on Sunday morning when he got electrocuted by a device installed to keep away stray animals. Khushiyal died on the spot.
Sangrampur police station in-charge inspector (SHO) Akhilesh Singh said that the body has been sent for post-mortem. In another incident, Pradeep Nishad (15) of Belkunda village in Deoria district was connecting the wire of the water pump of his house at 9 am on Sunday when he got electrocuted, officials said.
Pradeep’s family members took him to the Community Health Center in Gauribazar, where doctors declared him brought dead. Rudrapur police station in-charge Kalyan Singh Sagar said that Pradeep’s body has been sent for post-mortem.
