Police on Sunday arrested a couple in connection with the murder of a youth over illegal relations in Sambhal district of Uttar Pradesh. Additional Superintendent of Police Rajesh Kumar Srivastava said that the murder of a youth named Anees (25) was reported on Sunday morning at Waris Nagar, Laxman Ganj of Chandausi police station area.
According to Srivasta, during the investigation of the case, Rais (40) and his wife Sitara (35) were suspected of committing the murder. He said that the couple was questioned in custody, in which both of them confessed their crime.
According to Srivastava, “The arrested couple told in interrogation that Anees had an illegitimate relationship with the Rais’s wife Sitara living in his neighborhood. Anees had secretly entered the house of Raees, secretly at around 1 pm on Saturday.
He said, “Anees returned to his home in a blood -soaked condition at around two o’clock in the late night. The family took him to the hospital, where he died during treatment.” Srivastava said that Anees’ father Mustakim alleges that his son had lent about seven lakh rupees to the Raees, who was murdered after demanding back. He said that the police have registered a case in connection with the incident and started investigation.
