UP: Two crooks arrested in encounter with police

Police arrested two miscreants after the encounter in Gonda district of Uttar Pradesh. An official gave this information on Saturday. The official said that during the encounter, a miscreant was shot, which was taken to the Sakal Community Health Center and he was transferred to a medical college and hospital for better treatment.

He said that the police have recovered illegal pistols, cartridges, stolen motorcycles, cash and looted mobiles from the miscreants. Superintendent of Police Vineet Jaiswal said that the presence of criminals was reported in Nawabganj police station area on Friday night.

He said that on the basis of information, the team of Police Station Abhay Singh and SOG in -charge Gaurav Singh started patrolling. The official said that two motorcycle riders were attempted to stop the police near the shooting range late at night but they opened fire on the police.

Jaiswal said that in retaliation, the crook Ankit Singh was shot in the leg while his partner Shivam Yadav was caught. He said that the two miscreants used to carry out the incidents of Chhinajpati and recently CCTV footage of trying to snatch the purse from a woman in Nawabganj area also went viral on social media.

Jaiswal said that at least five incidents in the district have been revealed by the arrested miscreants. He informed that nine criminal cases have been filed against Ankit Singh in various police stations and both are being questioned.
