In Amethi district of Uttar Pradesh, a 50-year-old man, upset with the harassment by his son and daughter-in-law, committed suicide by jumping in front of a train on Tuesday night. Police gave this information on Wednesday.
Police said that the deceased has been identified as Lalji Singh (50) and he was a resident of Asur village of Gauriganj police station area. According to the police, a ‘suicide note’ was also found in the pocket of the deceased, in which the man has accused his son and daughter-in-law of torturing him.
Gauriganj police station in-charge Inspector Shyam Narayan Pandey said that the matter was of railway area, due to which the action of conducting post-mortem of the dead body has been taken by the Government Railway Police (GRP). He said that as per rules the body has been taken to Pratapgarh for post-mortem.
