UP: Three kanwadis injured in school bus collision in Meerut, try to vandalize bus

During a visit to Kalanad in Meerut district of Uttar Pradesh, a situation of tension arose when a school bus hit three kanwadis carrying water. The police gave this information on Monday.

According to the police, the three devotees were injured in the accident, after which angry Kanwari tried to vandalize the bus, but the policemen present there somehow pacified the case.

Police officials said that the incident took place on the Delhi route near Begumpul Chowki under Sadar police station area of the district. Sandeep, Bobby and Abhishek, residents of Ghaziabad, were returning from Haridwar, when the school bus from behind near Cantt Hospital collided with Kanwadi. All three kanwadis were injured as soon as the collision occurred.

Angered by this incident, other Kanwari surrounded the bus and broke its glass. He also assaulted the bus driver, who panicked and escaped leaving the vehicle. Due to this incident, there was a situation of chaos on the spot for some time.

As soon as the information was received, the jurisdictional (CO) -Ant Santosh Kumar reached the spot with the police force and rushed the injured to the hospital. Superintendent of Police (City) Ayush Vikram Singh said that three kanwadis were marginally injured in the incident, who have been sent for further visit after first aid. He said that the Kanwari, angry with the incident, tried to vandalize the bus, but after the police explained the matter calmed down.
